About 160 people in Hobart are under a water boil advisory.
It started when a water main was hit during construction along Packerland Dr. on Wednesday night.
Those affected were without water until around midnight.
Even though water is restored, it is still not entirely safe. Bottled water should be used, or tap water boiled before being used for drinking or cooking.
It is safe to use for a shower or bath.
The water boil could last through Friday since tests need to come back clear for two days in a row.
