Students at De Pere middle school are using technology to address bullying in their school. The teens have designed an app concept called "Pass it On." It allows students to report both bullying incidents and good deeds to the principal. By reporting students can earn E-cash to use through the school store.
Computer literacy teacher Heather Wright says the app empowers students, “We try to step over that threshold of not just using technology as a toy but use it to create and solve problems.
"The Pass it On app is competing to win Verizon’s Innovative App Challenge. The app that wins will get help developing it from MIT. You can Vote for De Pere by texting PASSITON TO 22333. Voting ends Tuesday, February 14th.
