One of the parents accused of starving their adopted child, pleaded no contest in court Tuesday.
Bradley Fahrenkrug made that plea to one count of Child Neglect Resulting in Great Bodily Harm.
There were four other counts that were dismissed.
Sentencing is scheduled for June 25.
Fahrenkrug and his wife were both charged in the case.
Court documents say the five-year-old weighed 29 pounds when he was taken to the hospital last year.
The parents argued the boy refused to eat.
