Today marchers, floats, and cars made their way through the streets of downtown Appleton.
This historic parade features more than 40 local organizations and service groups.
It also has an antique..horse-drawn funeral coach, symbolizing heroes lost in battle.
Officials said the city always has a strong turnout.
"So patriotic," Mayor Tim Hanna said. "I think it says a lot about the people that live here, that they'll show up. They know the meaning of the day."
After the parade, military members went into the Riverside Cemetery for a remembrance ceremony.
