After a picture that made its rounds on social media. A new committee is meeting today to discuss the growing concern of panhandling.
After this picture of a panhandler and the Grand Chute Town Chairman went viral the Fox Cities Housing Coalition started a small committee that will look at the issue of panhandling
The Grand Chute Town Chairman decided to take action against someone he believed isn't really in need.
That picture drew much conversation about panhandling and highlighted the growing concern.
The goal for the meeting is to answer the question of how to educate the community.
The point of the committee is not to solve panhandling or take a firm stance.
It's not to tell the public to give money or not to give money but just to give the community some tools of how to react when they are encountered by someone asking for money.
That meeting will happen today at 9 AM at the Fox Valley Warming Shelter.
