A New York casting company has stopped looking for Green Bay Packers fans for a Super Bowl commercial because it's been flooded with applicants.
House Casting opened casting Tuesday for fans born in October, November or December of 1967 to appear in the TV ad. The birth dates are specific because of the concept of the ad. The Packers were the first Super Bowl champs, defeating the Kansas City Chiefs on Jan. 15, 1967.
Casting Director Nef Jones said the company had to close casting Wednesday morning after it was inundated with hundreds of applicant submissions. Jones says the company had no idea it would get so many submissions.
Super Bowl 50 is scheduled Feb. 7.
