The Green and Gold are spreading some green in Brown County! It's all part the Packers First Down for Trees program. It all got started in 2011 when the Packers wanted to reduce their carbon footprint as part as their "green team" initiative. This year the packers donated 430 trees.

"Being an arborist and working with trees when they offered to plant trees in the communities and have us get involved with it. It was like a no brainer to do it. It's really fun,” said Greg Kirchmayer.

The Packers have donated more than $4,000 trees throughout the program. The trees will be planted by some packers players later this month.
