Lambeau Field and the Titletown District were filled with excited fans ready for a weekend of celebration.
Fans were gearing up for the game and everything else the Packers are offering this weekend.
The Steve Miller Band is putting on a free show Saturday at 7:30 p.m. outside Lambeau Field.
Before the music starts, fans can head to the Johnsonville Tailgate Village for food and beverages starting at 4:30 p.m.
The Packers said the fan walkway will be filled with sponsors, games, and other activities to kick off the weekend.
On Sunday, the Packers take on the Chicago Bears.
"I'm pretty sure everyone I know in Green Bay is going to the concert and tailgating or watching the game. This whole city's excited about football. It's the beginning of the season. Our green and gold are going to take it we think," said Riley Quigley, a fan originally from Green Bay who traveled all the way from Florida for the weekend.
The Packers said they are hoping between 10 and 20 thousand people come out for the concert.
Many fans we spoke with said they cannot wait for the weekend, and are excited to break out their green and gold, and let the celebration continue.
