There was a big lunch crowd at Texas Roadhouse in Ashwaubebnon Thursday, and it was all for a good cause.
People got to eat lunch for free with all the tips being donated to the American Cancer Society. The money raised will fund support services for those battling the disease as well as pay for research to help find a cure.
"33,000 people in Wisconsin will be diagnosed every year with cancer. So while the survival rates continue, we still have a lot of people touched by this disease. So, we keep fighting and help as many as we can beat cancer," said Heather Van Vonderen, Senior Manager for Community Development for the American Cancer Society.
NBC26's Kelly Price and Stacy Engebretson were guest servers. They heard several stories from diners about how cancer has impacted their lives.
This year's event raised over $7,300.
