A 53-year-old inmate who was being held in Outagamie County Jail has died by suicide.
The man had been in jail since March 31, 2017.
Around 2 a.m. Saturday correctional officers and medical staff began life-saving measures including CPR but their efforts were unsuccessful.
The man was being held on a $100,000 cash bond for charges including 1st degree child sexual assault, 2nd degree sexual assault of a child and bail jumping.
He was also serving a sentence for the charge of 4th degree sexual assault.
