On Saturday, March 25, the Oshkosh Police Department investigated a threat against Webster Stanley Elementary School where a 14-year-old boy from Oshkosh was taken into custody for disorderly conduct.

The boy had sent a private electronic message to another citizen threatening the school. The citizen contacted the Oshkosh Police Department after receiving the message.

The boy was placed at a medical facility for a 72-hour mental evaluation and a referral arrest for disorderly conduct was sent to juvenile intake.

Oshkosh Police say there is no current threat to the school or public safety.
