Oshkosh North High School was placed on lockdown after a 45-year-old man sought by the Neenah Police Department pulled into the school's parking lot and fled on foot while being pursued by officers and sheriff's deputies.
At 2:17 p.m. officers from the Oshkosh Police Department and Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department were advised of a vehicle involved in an incident in Neenah. That vehicle was driven by a man thought to be armed with a handgun.
The vehicle was spotted entering Oshkosh and located by officers and deputies as it pulled into the lot of Oshkosh North High School. The man fled from the vehicle onto school grounds and into the surrounding neighborhoods. He was located and taken into custody in the 900 block of Park Ridge Avenue.
Oshkosh North High School was placed on lockdown until the man was located. The man didn't enter the school and the lockdown lasted about 30 minutes.
The man is currently in custody on multiple criminal charges. The Neenah Police Department, the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department and Oshkosh Police Department continue to investigate the incident.
