Oshkosh Corporation will stay in the City of Oshkosh.
The company made the announcement Wednesday, after the vote of approval by the company Board of Directors.
They'll build on a piece of land on the site of Lakeshore Golf Course, recently purchased from the city.
That purchase was approved by the city in a controversial vote early November.
City leaders were happy with the company's decision. "I am thrilled that the City of Oshkosh's proposal was competitive with proposals that Oshkosh Corporation had been considering nationwide," said City Manager Mark Rohloff.
"I think this speaks volumes about Oshkosh Corporation's confidence that the City of Oshkosh will continue to be a great home to the global headquarters of a Fortune 500 company," Rohloff added.
The city now looks to begin a formal process in crafting a development agreement with the company. That's expected to be completed by April.
Oshkosh Corporation celebrated their 100th anniversary earlier this year.
