Open carry concerns at Green Bay City Council meetings

Posted
Some people who attend Green Bay City Council meetings are voicing concerns about others who show up carrying guns. At least one council member says the situation needs to be examined.

Alderwoman Barb Dorff says she witnessed a heated exchange during a January 3rd meeting for Mayor Jim Schmitt's veto of a new Colburn Pool. She says the exchange involved a man who was openly carrying a weapon, which is legal.

Dorff says she now plans to ask for a study on open carry in City Hall at the next council meeting on February 7th.
