STURGEON BAY - A person is dead early Saturday morning from a car crash in Door County. The crash happened just after 12:30 a.m.
Deputies from the Door County Sheriff's office say they found a car in a ditch just off highway 57. The driver ran off the road while making a right turn, and hit a tree.
Authorities say when they arrived, the car was engulfed in flames. Crews from three different fire departments came to help put out the fire.
The Brown County Medical Examiner will be conducting an autopsy to determine the identity of the driver.
