Shawano County Deputies say one person is dead and another taken to the hospital with injuries after a single vehicle crash in the Town of Fairbanks.
Deputies say the vehicle was traveling north on Highway 45 just south of Menzel Road when it went into the ditch and hit a telephone pole. The crash happened just before 1:00 am Sunday Morning.
Investigators say the 21-year-old driver from the Bowler area was pronounced dead at the scene. A 24-year-old passenger from Tigerton was taken to a Wausau area hospital.
The victims names are not being released at this time.
