Investigators are now calling a shooting incident in the Town of Utica an attempted murder-suicide. 29 year old Luke Smith of Picket was found dead at the scene with a self inflicted gunshot wound. A 36 year old female victim was shot and is hospitalized.
Investigators are reviewing medical records, 911 calls and conducting witness interviews. They are also waiting to talk with the victim of the incident.

Sheriff's authorities say one person is dead and another is injured in a shooting in Winnebago County.
Deputies were called to a house in the Town of Utica about 7 a.m. Monday after a neighbor reported a disturbance and heard several gunshots. Two victims were found -- a 36-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man. One person died at the scene, the other was taken to a hospital.
Three dogs were found fatally shot.
