Late last night the Shawano County Sheriff's office was called to a home for reports of a person with a gunshot wound.
It happened at a home in Mattoon.
Initial investigation revealed the gunshot wound was a result of a domestic violence incident.
The Shawano County Special Response Team was activated and a woman from Mattoon was taken into custody.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
