More than five decades after serving our country in Vietnam, 50 Northeast Wisconsin Veterans will be returning for a different reason.
"Return To Nam" will be the first ever Old Glory Honor Flight heading to Vietnam.
Up to 50 vets will be selected through a drawing later this summer to go on the two-week, all-expenses paid trip.
"It allows some veterans to get some closure,” said Chris Berkers, with the Old Glory Honor Flight program. “We don't hear a lot about Vietnam, we don't know a lot about Vietnam and it'll give them an opportunity to go back and see, hopefully, some of the areas and see that the people are doing okay, the country has moved forward from the last time they were there in the 70s.”
The Honor Flight will take off sometime in late February 2019.
