APPLETON - The Old Glory Honor Flight 40th mission will take off Wednesday morning for Washington, D.C.

It's part of their 'Generations Honor Flight.' The special flight will include 40 combat veterans from Operation Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation New Dawn. Desert Storm veterans will be no cost guests of the Old Glory Honor Flight.

The flight to Washington, D.C. is just under 3 1/2 hours. Once the Veterans arrive, they'll get to see the memorials built in their honor.

The Old Glory Honor Flight's motto has always been that 'it's never too late to say thank you,' but it's never too early either," said Old Glory Honor Flight President, Drew MacDonald "so we are very excited for the opportunity to fill an entire airplane with 75 years' worth of American heroes."
