Thursday will be the the first game played at Lambeau Field after three players sat on the bench during the national anthem on Sunday.

While officers will be on the look-out for strong reactions, a shift commander from Green Bay said there won't be extra staff. They'll have a normal staff of 100 but will adjust accordingly if need be.

Police said they hope everyone will be respectful of each other, and fans agreed.

"People are very friendly, so if I had to guess, I'd say there might be some respectful protesting, but I can't see it being a problem at all," said Ron Suthern.

Regardless of political climate, Packers fans always show up to support their team. Fans said they're expecting it to be a peaceful game.

"I don't think it's really necessary. I think the whole thing blew up out of proportion. It's just sad it came to that," said Danny Appleby.
