The DOJ has identified the Fox Crossing officer involved in a shooting.

Officer Seely Moe was involved in a critical incident and placed on administrative leave per department policy.

Officer Moe fired a weapon and hit 25-year-old Joshua Gomoll during an incident at Fritse Park last week.

Leading up to the incident, law enforcement got multiple calls from numerous people about a man acting erratically with a knife and approaching members of the public.

Law enforcement rendered first-aid to Gomoll on-scene after the shooting, but he died from his injuries.

Officer Moe has been with the department for 15 years.

The investigation continues.
