An officer and a deputy were hurt Wednesday night, while trying to arrest a battery suspect.

Authorities in Fond Du Lac said they were called to the Hazen Court Apartments just after 10pm Wednesday night, for a battery complaint.

That is when a Fond Du lac County Sheriff's Deputy pulled the suspect over near Military and Morris Street.

Authorities say the suspect got out of his vehicle and began to punch the deputy several times in the face. Then when a Fond Du Lac Police Officer arrived to assist, he was also attacked, forcing them both to taze the suspect to arrest him.

The injured Police officer was treated for a broken elbow and head injuries. The injured deputy was also treated for head injuries.

The 32 year old suspect is charged with suffocation strangulation, battery, disorderly conduct, intimidation of a victim for the original incident, resisting arrest and multiple charges of battery of a law enforcement officer.

The suspect was also wanted before this incident for two outstanding warrants.
