After endorsing presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton on Thursday, President Obama will hit the campaign trail with her and make a stop in Green Bay.
The event will be on Wednesday, June 15th. There are no details yet on where or what time it will take place.
"It's exciting," said Gabriel Battle of Green Bay. "Personally, I'm not really a Hillary Clinton fan, I'm more for Bernie Sanders, but I am excited to see Obama if I do go."
Not all voters in Northeast Wisconsin are excited for the visit, though.
"I really could care less honestly," said Michael Demers of Green Bay. "I'm pretty fed up with the campaign, both for the Democrats and the Republicans."
One group that does care is the Democratic Party of Brown County, who will help with the event in some way.
"She's an intelligent lady, she's dynamite on internal affairs, and she's going to surround herself with some very impressive people," said Rich Langan, vice-chair of the Democratic Party of Brown County.
However, spokesman Pat Garrett with the Republican Party of Wisconsin responded to news of the endorsement and visit with a statement, reading:
"Hillary Clinton is a dishonest politician who secured the nomination with the help of party bosses over working families here in Wisconsin. Her record of scandal and the pending FBI investigation into her practices as Secretary of State are a deep concern to voters who want an honest and transparent White House. Wisconsin has rejected Hillary Clinton in the past and will do so again in November."
Clinton's campaign said in an email that she and the president will "discuss building on the progress we've made and their vision for an America that is stronger together."
The appearance in Green Bay speaks to the importance both of Wisconsin as a state in the general election and winning that area.
"You have to win Northeastern Wisconsin if you're going to win the state of Wisconsin," said Langan. "Green Bay is the heart of Northeastern Wisconsin, that's why it's their first stop."
Both of the state Republican and Democratic parties held their state conventions in Green Bay this spring. Clinton will visit Ohio and Pennsylvania earlier in the week.
