NWTC students build 16 foot snowman

Posted

Move over Olaf, there's a new snowman stealing the spotlight!  An instructor at NWTC is turning the winter storm into a unique class lesson. Eighteen electrical power distribution students built a 16 foot tall snowman Thursday. It took them more than three hours to make the giant creation using shovels and buckets.

"They get really fired up for it at first and then they realize how much work it is, and then they don't get too excited about it. But when they get done, there's a line for pictures, so they get really excited about it when it's all completed. They're pretty proud of their work," said NWTC instructor Peter Mleziva.

The project is designed to be a team building exercise for the class.
