NWTC launches a new campaign that celebrates diversity in all of its forms. It's called iRespect. The college is holding workshops, selling T-shirts and asking students to sign pledge cards saying they will respect and include others.
While the campus is a safe, welcoming place right now, leaders say this campaign serves as an important reminder to treat others equally and with dignity.
"Every campus will have its own issues, and we definitely have ours as well, but we are in a healthy place in making sure our employees and students are successful," said Director of Diversity Mohammed Bey.
