NWTC going tobacco free

Posted
Northeast Wisconsin Technical College has announced that it's going tobacco and nicotine free on its campuses. The policy will include no e-cigarettes in buildings, on sidewalks, parking lots or in the college's cars. It's an effort to improve the health of students and keep the campus cleaner which one group recently aimed to do.

"They went and they spent a couple of weekends picking up cigarette butts. They had garbage bags full of them, so that'll be nice not to have that all over the campus," said NWTC President Jeff Rafn.

The new rules take effect on July 1st.
