New Robot Technology at St. Elizabeth Hospital

Posted

People in the Fox Valley will be among the first in Wisconsin to see and interact with the newest release of the most advanced healthcare robot in the world, the da Vinci Xi System, a massive high-tech medical wonder at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

The system features four robotic arms with pocket-sized cameras, a laser targeting system and 3D-HD vision. The robotic surgical system includes mechanical arms with surgical instruments attached. The surgeon controls the arms while seated at a computer console near the operating table.

In April, St. Elizabeth will install a new 2017 da Vinci Xi System for use in minimally invasive surgery.

Once installed, the new technology will be used for complex diseases and conditions in gynecology, orology, thoracic, cardiac and general surgery.
