Recent events here and across the country are not discouraging some from joining the force.
Four new officers joined the department in Green Bay today, taking their oath to protect and serve.
They say they're proud to serve a community like Green Bay, and say they're not discouraged. They say Green Bay officers treat everyone fairly and show respect.
The officers wore their mourning badges to honor the officers lost in the Dallas sniper attacks.
