The man killed by police in an officer involved shooting on Friday has been identified as 31-year-old Kole B. Knight, formerly of Menasha.
An autopsy was completed today and the scene has been released by police. The names of the officers are also expected to be released later next week.

UPDATE: New London Police say a 31-year-old white man was shot by officers after he produced a weapon.
According to a press release, two New London Police officers saw the man, who was known to them and had an active warrant for his arrest. The officers confronted the man and he produced a weapon. The officers drew their weapons and shot the man, killing him.
The officers involved are not being named at this time. Neither of the officers were injured.
The name of the man shot is not being released at this time.

The Wisconsin Justice Department of Criminal Investigation is on the scene of a reported officer involved shooting in New London. One person is dead according to NBC26's Raquel Lamal who is on the scene.
The state agency is investigating the incident according to a DOJ spokesperson. Witnesses say there is crime tape near Algoma & Wallace Streets.
