U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin brought a special guest to Tuesday night's presidential address.

New London's Roddy Rice worked at the Neenah Foundry for more than 35 years. Rice says he's an example of Wisconsin workers in manufacturing.

"Anyone regardless of political leanings should look at this as a historic moment. Not many people get the chance to do this and I was lucky enough to basically fall into this," Rice explained.

Both Rice and Senator Baldwin say they were honored to hear details tonight from the President on helping American workers get ahead.

Republican Senator Ron Johnson put out a statement reacting to President Trump's speech saying, "I look forward to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to help this administration succeed in restoring our country's economic strength and national security."

U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin announced Monday that a New London man will be her guest for President Trump's joint address to Congress on Tuesday.

Roddy Rice worked at Neenah Foundry for 38 years, and will join Senator Baldwin to highlight the need for a strong Buy America commitment from President Trump and Congressional Republicans to Wisconsin workers, a press release from Sen. Baldwin's office explained.

“President Trump will make this address at a time when too many people feel like their voices aren't being heard, when too many hardworking Wisconsinites feel Washington is broken and isn't working for them," said Sen. Baldwin. "It’s my hope that President Trump will lay out a clear plan of action to keep the promises he has made to American workers and manufacturers."

President Trump's address to Congress is at 8 p.m. CT Tuesday night.
