On New Year's Day just after 3 PM, the New London Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire on Larry Road in New London.
The house was completely engulfed in flames and water was hauled to the scene to assist in putting it out.
No one was home at the time of the fire, which was discovered when the homeowner returned from work. The house and attached garage were a total loss.
The family lost all of their clothing and belongings in the fire as well. Investigators are still searching for the cause.
