A New Holstein man is recovering after a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
At 5:15 p.m. Thursday, New Holstein police were called to Calumet Medical Center and also to 2215 Wisconsin Ave.
Officers say a 21-year-old man had a gunshot injury to his lower right leg.
The injury was due to a malfunction of the handgun he had recently bought.
After an investigation, New Holstein police found that the gun was in poor working condition.
