Travelers will soon have another option to escape the harsh Wisconsin winters.
On Tuesday, leaders announced a new direct flight from the Appleton International Airport to Punta Gorda, Florida on Allegiant Air.
The airport director says it's a move to meet high demand for service to southwest Florida.
The new, seasonal flights will operate twice a week. They start on November 16th.
