The Neville Public Museum in Green Bay has revealed its special artifact representing Brown County.

Museum leaders invited the community to vote on Facebook for a special piece to be featured in the "Our Brown County" exhibit that will be put up next year.

A flight suit worn by John Evans during the Vietnam War was the winner.

"He was a photographer," said Lisa Kain, Curator at the Neville Public Museum. "So he shot photos from the planes of what was happening. At the time, he actually did some film as well, and we have the film in our collection."

After leaving the Air Force, Evans became a lawyer and worked for Brown and Outagamie counties.

You can explore stories like Evans' starting in May 2018.
