Neenah Police say they used a live-saving drug on two different people in about one hour’s time on Friday.
Police say the first call came in at 4:45 p.m. for a local business where a 27-year-old man was not conscious and not breathing. When officers arrived on scene, CPR was in progress. Officers administered the drug Naloxone, and were able to revive the man. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Then, around 5:55 p.m. Neenah officers responded to a different local business for a 24-year-old man who was not conscious, turning blue, and was only slightly breathing.
Officers administered two doses of Naloxone and the man became responsive. He was also taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Naloxone is a drug that counters the effects of an opioid overdose. Neenah officers administered the life-saving drug using Evzio auto-injectors, obtained through a grant offered by the manufacturer.
