NBC 26, the Scripps-owned NBC affiliate in Green Bay, Wisconsin, will partner with MSNBC to produce and air “Hardball with Chris Matthews” live from its studio tonight from 6-7 p.m. CST on MSNBC. The show also will air on NBC 26 at the same time instead of the station’s regularly scheduled “NBC 26 News at 6” and “Wisconsin Tonight.”
Chris Mathews is in Green Bay hosting a Town Hall Meeting with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump at the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay campus on Wednesday afternoon.
“We are committed to providing the best political coverage in the Green Bay market through our ‘Decision 2016’ efforts,” says Peter Marquardt, vice president and general manager of NBC 26. “When NBC requested our assistance, it presented a tremendous opportunity to provide our local viewers expanded political coverage and insight during this important election cycle.”
Wisconsin has become a key state in the Presidential primary race. Green Bay and the Fox Cities have become a focal point for the primary race with the remaining presidential candidates making several appearances throughout the area this week.
