GREEN BAY, Wis. - Women around the country are helping build homes for Habitat for Humanity.
That included me and the women of NBC26!
We were out nailing, sawing, and lifting walls to help provide a home for a local family.
Habitat leaders say that it's a way to get women out there and feel empowered while also helping others.
"It's very symbolic and very important for Habitat for Humanity to get behind the notion of empowering women 40% of our homeowners are single housewives," Cora Haltaufderheid said.
The National Build Week is going on in three hundred countries.
