UPDATE: Delta has delayed about 500 more flights worldwide Tuesday after a power outage shut down its computer system Monday morning, causing problems worldwide.
Delta Airlines said the computer system was still running slowly Tuesday, causing more delays and cancellations.
There have been no problems reported at Austin Straubel International Airport or Appleton International Airport.

Delta Air Lines says limited flights have begun several hours after a computer outage grounded its flights around the world and stranded thousands of people. The Atlanta airline said Monday that delays and cancelations are ongoing.
The airline says that a power outage at a facility in Atlanta at around 2:30 a.m. Eastern started the cascading meltdown.
Flights that were already in the air when the outage struck continued, but many flights remained grounded. Over the next several hours, only a handful of flights took off instead of the usual hundreds, according to flight-tracking services.
-------
Delta Airlines issued a waiver for customers impacted by the outage.
The waiver explains if your flight is canceled or delayed, you are entitled to a refund. It lists August 8 as the impacted travel date. Those customers will be eligible if reissued before August 12.

Delta Airlines experienced major technical issues early Monday in what the company eventually described as a total system outage.
In response to passenger complaints on Twitter, Delta responded, “Our systems are down everywhere. Hopefully it won't be much longer."
No further information was immediately available about the computer failure, which reportedly caused issues with checking in to and boarding Delta flights.
While the Delta delays Monday are massive, it's not a rare thing. Other airlines have also suffered from computer errors. Just last month, Southwest Airlines had computer problems cancelling hundreds of flights and causing delays.
Delta has issued an apology to travelers and offered details about refunds and change fee waivers. Passengers holding tickets for any flight on Delta Air Lines today, August 8, are permitted change-fee waivers if they get their ticket reissued on or before August 12 for travel that begins no later than August 12.
