MADISON, Wis. (AP) - He's already dodged pee from a baby while changing a diaper. Now Republican U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson is slamming a beer to get votes.

Johnson's campaign posted a video on Twitter Thursday showing him sitting at a bar pounding a beer in about 9 seconds. It was shot to celebrate his endorsement by the Tavern League of Wisconsin. The group endorsed Johnson's challenger Democratic former Sen. Russ Feingold in 2010.
In a statement, Johnson's Communications Director tells NBC26, “As a manufacturer, I understand the challenges facing small businesses – and you don’t get much more Wisconsin than our bar and tavern owners, so I’m certainly raising a glass over this one,” Ron Johnson said. “We need to get Washington out of the way so our bar and tavern owners – and the good folks they employ – are able to keep more money in their pockets and help create more jobs and economic opportunity for working families across Wisconsin.”
NBC26 reached out to Russ Feingold's campaign for a comment as well.
"Good to see a Minnesota Gopher drinking Wisconsin Beer," said Michael Tyler of the Russ Feingold campaign.
