This week is National Small Business week in the United States.

The annual event is hosted by the Small Business Administrator. The week is designed to recognize the nation's top small businesses, entrepreneurs and business advocates.

Every year since 1963 the President of the United States has issued a proclamation announcing that the country should honor and recognize national small business week.

More than half of Americans own or work for a small business according to organizers.

The Small Business Administrator, Linda McMahon will host a Facebook live video with Facebook's Vice President and Chief Privacy Officer for Policy Erin Egan on their Facebook at  9:30 a.m. locally.  10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m ET.

The pair will talk candidly about how to start and grow a business.

Every year a person from each state is recognized as Small Business Person of the Year.

This year, Wisconsin's hails from Crandon, Wisconsin.

Kristina Pence-Dunow is the President and CEO of Double K INC, Hometown Trolley.

The business offers custom built trolley buses offering the nostalgic past of the 1900's streetcar with today's transit technology.
