Local flower shop vandalized before Mother's Day

Posted

ASHWAUBENON, Wis.- Josh Kozlowski, owns and operates Nature's Best Floral in Ashwaubenon.  This week he's extra busy restocking his flower supply after someone vandalized plants he was hoping to sell for Mother's Day.

"With Mother's Day it's a  prime time to ruin someone's business during that busy season when you're coming and going with delivery drivers and trying to get things out in a hurry," said Kozlowski.

Kozlowski was surprised to walk out of his store Tuesday and see hundreds of screws scattered across his parking lot.

"We literally had screws from my door way all the way through the parking lot like someone literally scattered it, like a flower girl," explained Kozlowski.

$500 worth of plants he intended to sell for Mother's Day were also destroyed.
"They had a white residue so I went and looked at it more and actually pulled a few leaves off and they were watered with bleach," said Kozlowski.

Kozlowski says he filed a police report with Ashwaubenon Public Safety hoping to catch whoever caused the damage.

"We actually have the security company coming and installing cameras so that is our first step," said Kozlowski.

Kozlowski says he expects to be able to meet most orders on time despite the attack on his business.  If you have any information on who did this call the Ashwaubenon Police Department.
