Officers arrived at the scene to find neighbors trying to separate the two pit bulls from the victims. One neighbor had one of the animals pinned down, the other was pacing around a neighbors front yard  according to a news release.

"I looked out the window and i saw these dogs on top of a kid and a lady" says James Willaims who fought the dogs off the mom and 15 month-old-son.

The victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries. The animals were seized by animal control and will be euthanized and given comprehensive rabies testing. The owner says she doesn't know how the dogs got out from their kennels. There's no word on if the owner will be charged in connection with the incident.

The 15-month-old was flown to Milwaukee for surgery for injuries sustain to his head and ear during the attack.
