PORT WASHINGTON (AP) -- A man imprisoned for embezzling more than $400,000 from Ripon College is sentencing to additional time behind bars for new criminal charges in Ozaukee County.
Ronald Haefner is serving six years in prison for embezzling from Ripon College where he was fired as the IT director in 2013. He pleaded guilty to 10 charges in Fond du Lac County last year.
The latest charges in Ozaukee County say the 56-year-old former Mequon man avoided more than $57,000 in taxes on the money he took from the college.
Haefner pleaded no contest to tax fraud in Ozaukee County Circuit Court Tuesday and was sentenced to another 18 months in prison.
The sentence runs concurrently to the time he has been serving at Oakhill Correctional Institution in Oregon.
