The future of Appleton Public Library is set to become clearer Monday evening.
A development team for the City of Appleton will make their recommendation to the Common Council and the library's Board of Trustees on a new downtown mixed-use development.
A total of five development teams submitted proposals for the project.
Among the requirements: a maximum three-floor library, demonstration of adequate parking space for patrons and space consisting of 120,000 square feet.
If the Council and Board vote to move forward, the city will create a development agreement with the would-be developer.
The joint meeting is open to the public and will begin at 5:30 p.m. Monday in the Common Council Chambers.
