GREEN BAY -- Add another name to the list of people hoping to take Reid Ribble's seat in Wisconsin's 8th Congressional District.
A local veteran has announced his run Sunday at an event in Green Bay. Wisconsin native Mike Gallagher says after serving the country as a captain in the marine corps, hes' ready to serve the country in another way and he's not worried about his lack of experience.
"What you're seeing across the board in the country this year is that people want new leaders. Someone who wants to actually solve problems and get things done. " Says Gallagher
Gallagher also says his next step is to visit the counties in the 8th district and earn the job.
