RIPON- Agents with the Wisconsin Department of Justice’s Division of Criminal Investigation, the Lake Winnebago Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group unit, the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department and the Ripon Police Department executed three drug related search warrants in Ripon on April 14 at about 3 p.m. A total of four individuals were initially taken into custody as a result of this investigation.

“Manufacturing drugs such as methamphetamine carries severe consequences, as these four individuals are learning,” Ripon Police Chief Dave Lukoski said. “The investigative efforts of the Ripon Police Department, as well as of our partners at the Wisconsin Department of Justice, Lake Winnebago MEG unit, and the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department, are disrupting the supply of dangerous drugs that kill hundreds of Wisconsinites every year.”

Two women have been transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail where they are being held, pending formal charges which are expected to be filed early next week in Fond du Lac County Circuit Court. The other two individuals, a 17-year-old boy and a girl, were transported to Ripon Medical Center where they were treated for exposure to methamphetamine and released pending further investigation.

Two search warrants were executed in the 44 Parkway Terrace area and one search warrant was executed at 204 ½ Eureka Street. Methamphetamine manufacturing evidence was located at 204 ½ Eureka Street, removed from the home and disposed of by a Crime Scene Cleanup crew from Chicago shortly before 11 p.m. Thursday.

“The collaboration between DCI and regional and local law enforcement is necessary to put together successful cases against and hold accountable those who manufacture and distribute drugs that kill,” said Attorney General Brad Schimel. “The Wisconsin Department of Justice is fortunate to have law enforcement partners across the state focusing on stopping the supply of harmful substances like meth.”
