Early this morning, Menasha police were dispatched to the 300 block of Second Street for a report of a home invasion.

Two males had entered a home armed with an unloaded shotgun and a pellet/BB gun, according to police. Two male residents confronted the intruders and a physical altercation took place. The intruders fled before officers arrived and weapons were recovered at the scene.

The residents were treated at a local hospital for injuries received during the incident and released.

Police said they do not believe this was a random act.

Currently no one is in custody for the incident and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Menasha Police Department at 920-967-3500.
