Dozens spent part of their morning at Fort Howard Memorial Park. While all the men and women who died serving in the armed forces were remembered, four Wisconsin Veterans who recently passed away were honored.
Their family members were in attendance. Some of them we spoke with say the amount of community support is what gets them through everything.
"I mean, it really moves you. You really feel part of the country then. This is actually the first time I've been here. It's moving. It got me teared up a little bit,” said Curt Saari.
A representative from the Wisconsin Department of Veteran Affairs was at the service.
He says everyone with a relative in the service is part of one big family.
