Remembering our nation's heroes in Green Bay. 72 veterans laid to rest just this year at Fort Howard Memorial Park Cemetery in Green Bay.
"It's something that you don't enjoy because you know people died, but it's still nice getting together and talking with people," explained Vietnam Veteran, Dennis Kirklewski.
Kirklewski attends this ceremony every year for his friends and brothers to keep their memories alive.
A few chosen families dedicated a flag for their loved ones who served.
"Recognize my father for his service in World War II," explained Robert Stubs.
Stubs traveled from Colorado to be with his mother and show his son his grandfather's final resting place.
"It's a great recognition of service members and it's just a great community gathering," said Stubs.
For veterans who can never forget their fallen friends they say they're remembering soldiers gone but never forgotten.
